On California's beautiful central coast, a new multi-faceted, multi-year project is developing that will enhance public appreciation of space enterprise. As envisioned, the project will also inspire young people with space, science, math and engineering educational activities and offer space-related facilities, entertainment and cultural exhibits.

 

 

The California Space Authority, with the support of Westberg + White Architects and Planners and other strategic partners, is spearheading development of the California Space Center. To be located halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles on Highway One, the Golden State's primary coastal artery, the center promises to be a premier California visitor destination. Sited just outside the gates of Vandenberg Air Force Base, the California Space Center will showcase the excitement and importance of both Vandenberg AFB and 21st century commercial, civil and national security space enterprise.
