Dr. Arvedson has worked with the Satellites & Education Conference for over 14 years and has coordinated it for the last 3 years at Cal State LA. She teaches courses on methods of teaching and on teaching critical thinking in the Charter College of Education. She has taught at Cal State LA for 17 years. Her doctorate is on mathematics development in young children. Her connections with high schools are enhanced by her husband who teaches chemistry at La Puente High School and is the lead for the Satellite Communications Academy (Science Academy) at La Puente HS.
